• The key to more comfort, less injuries, and higher power output comes from our ergonomically designed, scientifically tested Body Geometry features—Longitudinal Arch, Varus Wedge, and personalized insoles with a Metatarsal Button. From the outset of the Torch 3.0 Road shoe design process, our goal was to create a performance offering as feature-packed as any top-end shoe. The challenge, however, was pulling this off at a palatable price.

In order to achieve this, we utilized three strategically placed materials on the uppers that are welded together—TPU and mesh in the front and synthetic leather in the rear. This makes for a more comfortable and supportive front of the shoe. A stiff rear and heel cup, meanwhile, lock down your heel and keep all of your watts going into the pedals as efficiently as possible. This refined upper is combined with our legendary FACT carbon fiber sole to further ensure an efficient power transfer. Finally, we topped the Torch 3.0 off with two Boa® S2-SV Snap dials for zonal closure, and a precise fit that leads to all-day comfort.

The Soft Air Reflective Tall socks provide the perfect hit of color and reflectivity in order to keep you visible to motorists at any time of the day or night. We take our Soft Air Road Tall socks' super soft and compressive construction and add reflective yarns to the top edge. This part is made up of millions of glass beads that receive and reflect light back to the source, so this reflective band gives you an active, moving element to make yourself more visible to drivers.

Body Geometry Methodology: The human body evolved to walk, not pedal, which leads to power-robbing foot collapse, misalignment of the foot, knee, and hip, as well as “hot foot” in traditional cycling shoes. The Torch 3.0, like every Body Geometry shoe, helps solve these problems with three patented technologies - Varus Wedge, Longitudinal Arch & Metatarsal Button - to deliver a pain-free increase in power that’s validated by scientific testing and two decades of well-documented ass kicking.

Carbon Plate: The Torch 3.0 features a lightweight, unidirectional carbon plate that enables balanced stiffness throughout the shoe, all while using less material, thus saving weight and ensuring efficient power transfer, mirroring its S-Works counterpart. Additionally, large rubber grips on the outsole of the toe and heel provide a stable, grippy platform for a seamless transition when pushing off the pavement to clip in or coming to a stop at a traffic light.

Comfort: The key to a comfortable shoe is all in its construction—balanced stiffness paired with incremental fit adjustments and a supple upper is the perfect package for maximum comfort.
